A study in the US reported that women were likely to feel ashamed and ineffective if they expressed anger outwardly. On the other hand, men said that they felt ineffective if they didn’t let their angry feelings out. Women’s way of suppressing their anger is really not a good idea for it can actually damage one’s health and self-esteem and can harm relationships; but, throwing plates and being violent is not a good idea either. Writing down one’s feelings or at least thinking them through, will allow one to fully express yourself.. One may also talk it out with a friend.
